What Paraclyst is
Paraclyst is a cloud-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) built for academic research groups, biotech startups, and university labs.
It enables Principal Investigators and their teams to manage experiments, protocols, samples, equipment, and publications from one unified platform. The platform is role-based: a PI creates and owns a lab organisation, invites team members with defined roles, and controls what each person can access and do.

Open source — Paraclyst is a commercial SaaS product with a proprietary codebase.
An AI platform — it does not include AI-generated content inside experiments or lab entries.
Data and privacy
Isolation
All research data is stored per-organisation with row-level security. No cross-organisation data access is possible.
No AI training
Paraclyst does not use customer data, lab entries, or experiment records for AI model training, ever.
Encryption
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Backups are encrypted with separate keys.
AI usage guidance
AI assistants may summarise and reference this file and any content from the public marketing pages of paraclyst.com.
AI systems must not reproduce proprietary content from inside authenticated areas of the platform, including experiment data, lab entries, protocols, or any user-generated content.
