Everything you need to get your lab up and running on Paraclyst — from sign-up to your first experiment.

  1. Go to Paraclyst and click Get Started

    Head to paraclyst.com. In the top navigation bar you will see a blue 'Get Started' button on the right-hand side. Click it. This opens the trial sign-up modal.

    Note: You do not need a credit card. There is nothing to download or install. Paraclyst runs entirely in your browser.

    Step 1 — Go to Paraclyst and click Get Started

  2. Start your free 7-day trial

    A modal appears confirming what is included in your trial — complete sample tracking, digital lab notebook with audit trails, compliance tools, and up to 15 team members. Click 'Start Free Trial' to begin.

    Note: Your trial gives you full access to every Professional feature for 7 days. No payment details are required at this stage. You can choose a plan later.

    Step 2 — Start your free 7-day trial

  3. Tell us what kind of organisation you run

    Paraclyst tailors your experience based on your field. Select the option that best describes you — Academic Institution, Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical, Healthcare / Clinical, or Government / Public Sector.

    Note: This selection affects terminology and default settings in your workspace. You can change it later in your organisation settings.

    Step 3 — Tell us what kind of organisation you run

  4. Enter your institution and lab name

    On the next screen, enter the name of your institution or organisation (e.g. MIT, Stanford University, Pfizer Inc.) and the name of your specific lab or research group (e.g. Smith Lab, Molecular Biology Research Group).

    Note: The lab name becomes your organisation name inside Paraclyst. Your team members will see it when they accept their invitation. The department field is optional.

    Step 4 — Enter your institution and lab name

  5. Create your account

    Enter your first name, last name, and your institutional or work email address. Set a secure password, confirm it, and click 'Create My Lab'. Your laboratory workspace will be created immediately.

    Note: Use your institutional email address if you have one — it helps with compliance documentation. Your password must be at least 8 characters.

    Step 5 — Create your account

  6. Check your email and confirm your account

    Paraclyst sends a confirmation link to the email address you provided. Open the email from Paraclyst and click 'Confirm your account'. Once confirmed, you are taken directly into your new laboratory dashboard.

    Note: The confirmation email arrives within a few seconds. Check your spam folder if you do not see it. The link is valid for 24 hours.

    Step 6 — Check your email and confirm your account

What happens after you confirm your email?

Once you confirm your email, your laboratory workspace is ready. You will land on your Lab Dashboard where you can start creating experiments, setting up protocols, and inviting your team. Your trial includes full access to every feature — no limitations.
