Cookie Policy

What cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them

Last updated: April 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Paraclyst uses, and what choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at support@paraclyst.com.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work properly, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owners. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your device.

2. What cookies does Paraclyst use?

We use a small number of cookies. They fall into two categories:

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the platform to function. You cannot opt out of them because without them the service cannot be delivered. They do not track you or collect any data used for advertising.

Functional / payment

These cookies are set by Paddle, our payment processor, when you interact with the pricing or checkout pages. They are used to manage your checkout session and prevent fraud. They are only active during a checkout flow and are not used for advertising.

3. What we do not use cookies for

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, social media tracking cookies, or any cookies that profile you for marketing purposes. We do not sell data collected via cookies to any third party.

4. How long do cookies last?

The Supabase session cookies expire when you close your browser or after a short idle period. The consent preference cookie lasts for 12 months. Paddle cookies are session-only and are deleted when you close your browser.

5. Your choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies (the Supabase session cookies) will prevent you from logging in to the platform.

You can also withdraw your consent for non-essential cookies at any time by clearing your browser cookies for paraclyst.com. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.

For more information on how to manage cookies in your specific browser, visit aboutcookies.org.

6. Legal basis (GDPR)

Under GDPR, strictly necessary cookies are placed on the basis of legitimate interests — they are essential to deliver a service you have requested. Functional cookies (Paddle) are placed on the basis of consent, which you provide by accepting the cookie banner. You may withdraw that consent at any time as described above.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if we add or remove cookies. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Significant changes will be communicated via the consent banner.
